About the Role

Our client in the Telecommunications industry is seeking an experienced UC/AV Team Leader to join their team. As a key member of the Audio-Visual support team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and ensuring seamless communication solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Support of Audio-Visual equipment

• Providing remote/telephonic support

• Advanced fault-finding

• Must be able to work independently and alone on-site support

• Preparing equipment, cabling and consumables for installations according to the solution required

• Preparing properly before attending to a site

• Installation of Audio-Visual equipment

• Installation of cabling and determining cable runs

• Termination of all Audio-Visual cabling according to best practice standards

• Video Conferencing and Audio-Visual Equipment Configuration

• Mounting of Audio-Visual equipment on any surface required

• Neatening and labelling racks

• Implementing solutions according to technical schematics

• Adhering to safety standards and regulations.

• Keeping an installation site neat and clean

• Comprehensive knowledge of proper tool usage and tool management

• Manage and take responsibility for Equipment (laptop etc.)

• Managing a UC installation team daily and within the field or on site

• Liaising with suppliers and senior staff to resolve issues

• Must be available to work overtime when required

• Must be available to travel for installations when required

• Completing training when required.

• Important to complete site audit reports and job-reporting after project completion

• Feedback to Technical Coordinator regarding job progress (must always be available and continuous communication with the Technical Coordinator is important)

• Ensure that the proper documentation is kept – site sign-off, delivery notes etc. and saved in the relevant folders on the server.

Requirements

• Senior Certificate

• Comprehensive knowledge of wiring, cable termination and best practice standards

• Minimum 2 – 4 year’s Audio-Visual Experience

• Strong knowledge of Audio-Visual Systems

• AMX, Crestron and Extron qualifications

• Proof of technical skills and experience

• Must have valid driver’s license.
