Job DescriptionMy client is seeking an experienced Data Protection Engineer to design, implement, and support advanced data protection solutions. You will play a key role in safeguarding digital assets by ensuring security, integrity, recoverability, and compliance with business continuity and regulatory requirements. The role covers deployment, monitoring, optimisation, and continuous improvement of solutions using Dell Data Protection, Veeam, Microsoft, and Druva technologies.Key Responsibilities Design and deploy data protection solutions tailored to organisational and client needs. Manage and monitor backup and recovery operations to ensure data availability and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. Create, enforce, and monitor compliance with data protection policies, retention requirements, and regulatory standards. Conduct regular testing of recovery procedures, performance optimisation, and system audits. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver seamless solutions and technical support. Maintain documentation, SLA reporting, and audit trails for compliance. Provide training and guidance to staff on backup, recovery, and data protection best practices. Stay current with certifications, product updates, and industry trends to strengthen protection strategies. Develop and enhance automation scripts for efficiency.
