About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Reservationist to join our team in Randburg, where you will assist the Reservations Manager with daily reservations duties and contribute to maximizing sales by providing accurate information to guests and agents in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Reservations Manager with daily reservations duties
  • Maximize sales by responding to guests/agents with accurate information in a professional and timeous manner
  • Process bookings from initial contact, follow up, obtaining of guest details, and collection of monies due
  • Book accommodation, transfers, flights, etc. for guests across our portfolio of properties
  • Liaise and communicate with internal stakeholders effectively
  • Maintain office procedures to ensure that all information is easily retrievable by all staff

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • A formal hospitality qualification
  • At least 2-3 years experience in a Reservations or other related lodge position at a 4 or 5-star lodge
  • DMC experience will be an advantage
  • Able to work in a small team environment
  • Committed to service excellence
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial
  • Able to work under pressure and can complete work quickly and accurately
  • Thorough and methodical
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Brings energy, passion, and a willingness to learn and contribute to the team
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to absorb large amounts of information (properties are diverse)
  • Excellent command of English both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Fully computer literate and tech savvy
