Job Summary
We are urgently looking for a Yellow Plant Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the North Coast of KZN in Richards Bay Alton. The ideal candidate must meet the set criteria below:Main DutiesConduct diagnostic tests, interpret the results and offer suitable solutionsPlan work according to the job card allocatedCommunicate accurately with Foreman/Managers as to work in progress and any anticipated delay issues.Conduct quality repairs for jobs allocated with minimum supervision and guidanceEnsure that all services and repairs documentation are correctly completed.Conduct field inspection visits and attend to breakdownsConduct scheduled service and maintenance of all plant / trucks/ vehiclesTest drive repaired vehicles/ plant to gauge performanceUse of workshop equipment in a correct mannerEnsure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all timesCorrectly record the use of parts, spares, and materials.To ensure 24/7 Support service (stand by) and any other ad-hoc duties as required.Skills & Experience+10 years as a Yellow Plant MechanicExcellent knowledge in Diesel mechanics & electronicsTrade Certificate in Diesel mechanicMust have own transportDriver`s licenseExcellent knowledge in heavy plantGood understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and procedures.Effective verbal and written communication skillsStrong decision making and problem-solving skills.DesirableExcellent knowledge of Heavy Plant, Ripper, Crane, Water carts, TLB and Roll
