About the Role
A leading FMCG company in the food and beverage industry is seeking an experienced Manager: New Business Development to join their team in Roodepoort. This role focuses on driving growth initiatives across South and Sub-Saharan Africa by identifying new partners, managing complex projects, and building long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish new business relations with potential co-packers and joint venture partners.
- Investigate and develop new channels to expand food operations into South and Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Lead and manage projects from master planning and CAPEX motivation to execution and transition.
- Conduct technical, financial, and business due diligence on potential partners.
- Prepare post-meeting summaries and present findings to senior management.
- Evaluate internal markets to identify potential and suitable partners that align with company standards.
- Provide accurate and timely project progress reports and feedback to management.
- Manage, train, and develop staff to ensure high performance and effective communication.
Requirements
- 68 years of experience in business development or related roles.
- 46 years of proven people management experience.
- Significant experience in the dairy, beverages, or FMCG industry (essential).
- Fluent in Business English.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Valid Code 08 drivers license.
- Willingness to travel (including overnight stays), work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Qualifications
- Honours Degree required (qualification in Food Science highly preferred).
