• Preparation of yearly profit plan and monthly rolling forecasts. Present to Management. Month-end processing and variance analysis. Report the performance to Management.
• Review and approve journals and month-end Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Responsible for Capex planning and investment applications. Present to Management for approval.
• Track and confirm volumes on a weekly basis. Update outlook for next rolling forecast.
• Align with Plant & Head Office Commercial on customer topics.
• Supervise the Finance Team: Accountant, Local & Foreign Creditors
• Complete AIS claims and attend to audits.
• Attend to and coordinate Internal and External Financial audits.
• Review and approve Purchase Requisitions.
• Attend to Debtor financing with the bank and day to day banking. Review and release payments.
• Forex planning & Cash flow management.
• Assist with BBBEE and verification audits. Supply information to the BBBEE Champion.
• Align with the Logistics Team on airfreight and other special freight impacts.
• APDP2 and C2’s. Review and sign off quarterly SMD and imports declarations.
• Attend shop floor meetings and discuss urgent topics with other Departments.
• Ensure that Internal Controls and procedures are maintained and in line with Compliance.

Job

• Degree in Financial Accounting/Auditing; or equivalent. Completed articles.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Controller in an Automotive environment.
• Sound IFRS and SA GAAP knowledge as well as financial policies and procedures.
• SAP experience will be an advantage.
• Good Excel skills.
• Good presenting and interpersonal & communication skills.
