About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of customers in the mining sector in North West, South Africa. As the main point of contact for all matters specific to these sectors of customers, you will be responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of customer needs to ensure the development of mining customers within the North West Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of customers in the mining sector in North West.
- Operate as a main point of contact for all matters specific to these sectors of customers.
- Gain a thorough understanding of customer needs to ensure the development of mining customers within the North West Region.
- Propose solutions and products that will address customer needs, with agreed-upon solutions rendered immediately or products delivered timeously.
- Liaise with relevant Managers to manage large stock orders and ensure customer expectations are met.
- Resolve customer problems, issues, or complaints timeously to maintain trust relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with the correct managers.
- Inform the National Business Development Manager of progress on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent
- 2 years minimum experience in mining sector sales (advantageous)
- Existing contacts within customers (must be established prior to application)
Qualifications
- Sales or Marketing degree/diploma from an accredited institution (advantageous)
