Rustenburg: HR Officer

About the Role

The HR Officer will be responsible for managing the labour force, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and providing administrative support to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Labour & Workforce Management: Manage staff and labour movements, check labour plans, recruitment requests and monitor recruitment progress.
• Report labour shortages and operational challenges, ensure PRC and manning boards are updated, obtain required authorisations from shafts, and sign off shift runs.
• HR Administration & Payroll Control: Submit daily labour reports, monitor and control clocking systems, record and manage pay queries, check and submit pay corrections, and ensure proper leave planning and compile leave schedules.
• Employee Relations & Compliance: Arrange and manage disciplinary hearings, liaise with all labour control stakeholders, attend planning and scheduled meetings, and compile management reports as required.
• Monitor implementation of standardised processes and procedures, train and coach clerks on processes and procedures.

Requirements

• HR Diploma or Degree (Non-negotiable)
• Extensive mining industry experience
