About the Role
The Limpopo Career Consortium (Limcaco) is seeking a highly skilled Specialist: Wood / Lumber with a Master’s degree in Wood Science, Forestry or Wood Technology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in forestry or wood quality research and a strong background in technical research related to wood science, wood properties, or wood product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical research on wood science, wood properties, and wood product development
- Analyze data and provide recommendations for improvement in wood quality and production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new wood products and processes
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the forestry and wood industry
Requirements
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Wood Science, Forestry or Wood Technology (NQF Level 9)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in forestry or wood quality research
- At least two (2) years of experience in technical research related to wood science, wood properties, or wood product development
