About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office and Stock Administrator at Salt River. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the office, including stock control, administration, and communication with internal teams and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Management team
  • Answering incoming calls and assisting with enquiries over the phone
  • Managing consumables and materials stock levels
  • Tracking all incoming and outgoing stock, including offcuts
  • Conducting regular stock takes of consumables
  • Tracking and managing contract-specific consumables
  • Ordering contract-specific and standard consumables
  • Obtaining quotes for normal consumables
  • Following up with suppliers regarding material deliveries
  • Preparing and managing dispatch notes with the treasurer for company vehicles
  • General office administration, including answering phones and managing stationery
  • Maintaining filing systems (physical and electronic)
  • Managing delivery documentation and contract sign-offs
  • Ensuring the office is well organised and adequately stocked
  • Coordinating vehicle licence renewals, repairs, and maintenance

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Proven experience in office administration and/or stock control
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
