Job Summary
Assistant Front Office Manager required for a Sandton based Luxury Hotel.
Minimum Requirements
-
3 – 5 years FOM experience in a 5 – Star hotel environment
-
PMS systems Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, Reports Essential
-
INFOR knowledge an advantage
-
Computer Literate Excel Report Writing and Reading Essential
-
Excellent Communication Skills (Fluent in English)
-
Excellent Guest Relations Skills
-
Leadership skills/ training & experience
-
Basic IR skills an advantage
-
3rd Language Preferable
-
Qualification as NQ Assessor preferable
-
Minimum Std. 10 (Grade 12)

Hotel Qualification/Diploma an advantage.
Key Responsibilities to assist the FOM:
-
Supervising Staff: Hiring, training, and evaluating front desk, guest services, reservations, and night audit teams.
-
Guest Relations: Managing guest check-ins, check-outs, inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
-
Operational Management: Overseeing reservations, occupancy, and financial reports.
-
Maintaining Standards: Ensuring adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
-
Communication & Problem Solving: Addressing guest concerns, resolving issues, and handling conflicts.
-
Team Leadership: Providing guidance, direction, and motivation to front desk staff.
-
Coordination: Working with other departments like housekeeping and maintenance.

Revenue Management: Potentially involved in revenue management strategies.
-
Safety and Security: Ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
