About the Role
Boardroom Appointments is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for eliciting and analyzing business requirements, developing solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, document analysis, and site visits
- Analyze, decompose, and synthesize information from multiple sources
- Develop business requirements specifications, use cases, business rules, and functional requirements
- Investigate end-to-end AS IS and TO BE process mapping and documentation
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify efficiencies, improvements, and solutions
- Propose viable solution options based on expertise
- Engage internal and external stakeholders up to C-level
- Negotiate and communicate across business domains
- Collaborate across teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Translate high-level business needs into detailed, actionable requirements
- Evaluate conflicting information and abstract complex data into meaningful insights
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, KPIs, and risk assessments
- Estimate analysis effort and time, plan, and manage analysis-related tasks
- Support vendor selection through RFP specifications
- Participate in or manage projects within defined timelines and budgets
- Support organizational change through communication and stakeholder engagement
- Develop test cases and support user acceptance testing
- Ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
- Think from the customer perspective and seek ways to continuously add value
- Challenge and support customers to optimize outcomes
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills across business domains
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience working in a mixed enterprise application environment, third-party, and in-house
- Familiarity with BA standards, BABOK, IIBA tools and documentation templates
Qualifications
- BA certification (IIBA Level 2 or BABOK) or relevant B degree such as BTech or BCom Informatics
