About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Groups & Incentives Operations Consultant to join the team of one of our esteemed clients – a leading luxury African safari company based in Sandton. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills and a strong background in travel coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute land tour programmes and events
- Support the administrative management of travel files with a focus on operational efficiency and quality control
- Travel with groups as required and provide on-site coordination
- Collaborate with Reservations and Operations Managers to ensure profitability and compliance with commercial targets
- Provide proactive operational support to the Groups & Incentives team
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers while monitoring service levels
- Liaise with accounts teams to manage debtors and flag potential bad debt
- Maintain up-to-date information on all confirmed services
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of travel documentation and operating schedules
- Ensure compliance with country-specific travel restrictions
- Recommend improvements to guest experiences and service delivery
- Escalate client or guest complaints promptly to relevant managers and assist in resolution
- Be on call for emergencies and provide timely updates to clients and managers
- Assist with special projects and duties assigned by management
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, including current trends and destination management
- Understanding of the company’s operating regions and product offerings
- Commercial awareness to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Solid understanding of emergency response protocols and risk mitigation
Qualifications
- Minimum 4–5 years of previous inbound tour consulting experience
