About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Loadings Controller to join our team in Sandton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate capture and updating of pre-advised trucks in the WIRE loading order system, as well as communicating with LSPs and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Maintenance: Ensure all pre-advised trucks provided by LSPs are accurately captured and updated in the WIRE loading order system daily. No pending entries should remain for the next day.
- ETA Amendments and Communication: Update all ETA changes from LSPs in the WIRE system daily. Maintain and save a current ETA schedule on the Share Drive each day. Outdated or missing ETAs must be followed up with the LSP via email on the same day.
- Wire Discrepancy Report: Prepare a daily wire discrepancy report highlighting variances identified between the two systems, and distribute the report via email and the Southbound Logistics WeChat group.
- MMS Follow-up: Issue weekly formal communications to MMS summarizing outstanding discrepancies and actively track and follow up until full resolution.
- Document Amendment Schedule: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Document Amendment Schedule, ensuring all document amendments are recorded, reviewed, and updated in a timely manner.
- Loading Reporting and Verification: Consolidate and distribute the daily LSP Master Report accurately and on time. Submit a comprehensive monthly loading report, using the standard template, to the Supervisor and Manager, covering loading status.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in loadings control or a related field
- Strong knowledge of WIRE loading order system
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
