About the Role
All Star Placements is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in the Woodmead area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing procurement processes within the logistics department, ensuring timely delivery of quality products and services while maintaining cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and the Procurement Manager to ensure seamless operations
- Source, negotiate, and procure critical goods and services for logistics and supply chain functions
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock performance
- Implement cost control measures to minimize expenses
- Conduct quality assurance checks on products and services received from vendors
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the logistics industry
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure optimal service delivery
Requirements
- Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management
- Experience with international procurement and global supply chains
