About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Sandton. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services while maintaining cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and the Procurement Manager to achieve procurement goals
- Source, negotiate, and procure goods and services critical to logistics operations
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock holdings and minimize waste
- Implement cost control measures to ensure efficient use of resources
- Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure collaborative partnerships
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to procurement processes
Requirements
- Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management
Qualifications
- Formal education/certification in Business Administration or related field (Bachelor’s degree, LLB, Matric, etc.)
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary starting at R 30 000.00 to R 40 000.00 negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
