Job Summary
The Regulatory Analyst (Analyst) will be responsible for identification, monitoring and analyzing current and emerging laws, regulations, and government policies that affect the organization. The Analyst will work closely with management to ensure compliance and provide guidance on regulatory issues. The role will require analysis of regulations, preparation of reports on the outcome of the analysis, presentation, and submission to relevant stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS : A bachelors degree in law/LLB Post-graduate Compliance Qualifications CPRAC Qualification from CISA will have an added advantage KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant and practical regulatory analyst experience, regulatory compliance risk management or legal experience Member of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa Keep abreast of new legislation and regulatory changes, advise business stakeholders of potential impact that such changes would have on the business, provide comments, and manage collated response to the regulators or industry bodies. Monitor and manage regulatory alerts from Sentinel and identify and report trends in the financial services sector regulatory landscape with possible impact on the organizations ability to invest in the industries they invest in. Understanding and applying relevant legal requirements from new and emerging regulation in the provision of proactive and holistic advice and training, through collaboration with different business areas to provide staff with knowledge and awareness of relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Liaison between Regulatory and Industry Bodies and relevant SBUs/ departments. Provide general Regulatory analysis support organization wide, including participation as the SME (subject matter expert) on Regulatory Projects. Deliver training sessions and provide guidance to business on regulatory requirements, ensuring business is up to date with the latest emerging regulations and best practices. Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including industry bodies and regulators and act as ambassador of the corporations brand. Support team members with the analysis of regulatory requirements and statutory returns. Contribute to a CRAD service excellence culture, which builds positive relationships and provides opportunity for feedback and exceptional service from business.
