Employer Description A service provider of refined dining and tailored event experiences Job Description Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Unit Manager. This role ensures the smooth running of daily office functions, including administration, creditors and debtors processing, reporting and general coordination of office activities. Candidates must also have working knowledge of placing orders, processing supplier invoices and conducting stock takes. Key Responsibilities: 1. Administrative Support Assist the Unit Manager with day-to-day administrative duties and coordination Manage office correspondence, filing and documentation systems (digital and hard copy) Prepare, edit, and distribute internal communications, memos and reports Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff schedules, attendance and operational documents 2. Financial Administration Support with general debtors and creditors functions, including capturing invoices, payments and reconciliations Assist in preparing payment requisitions, supplier documentation and purchase orders Process supplier invoices and track outstanding payments Place orders for supplies and services as required 3. Reporting and Data Management Compile and maintain various reports as directed by the Unit Manager (financial summaries, stock usage, staff hours, etc.) Ensure all reports are accurate, complete and submitted within deadlines Assist in data entry and basic analysis using Excel and other reporting tools Conduct and support regular stock takes 4. Office Coordination Manage office supplies, stationery and administrative inventories Coordinate communication between departments and support the flow of information Support event or meeting logistics when required Qualifications Matric (Grade 12) essential Tertiary qualification in Administration, Finance or related field (advantageous) Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an administrative or office support role Must have own reliable transport Skills Must be willing to work extended hours when required Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong understanding of email and digital communication tools Excellent organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail with high levels of accuracy Ability to handle confidential information professionally Familiarity with stock control processes and supplier management Salary/Package R8 000 – R12 000 depending on experience Benefits Provident fund after probation period
