Job Summary
Our client is a prominent civil contracting firm specializing in large-scale projects across the UAE. With a strong portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, we are committed to delivering excellence in construction and client satisfaction.
Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager with extensive experience in the construction industry to oversee projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in civil construction, particularly in buildings and residential sectors, and possess a deep understanding of FIDIC contracts. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a proven track record in managing commercial aspects of projects within the GCC region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects concurrently in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
- Ensure compliance with FIDIC contract terms and conditions.
- Lead and oversee the commercial team, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow projections.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms and agreements.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure commercial goals align with project objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 12-17 years of progressive experience in commercial management within the construction or civil industry.
- Previous experience working with a main civil contractor is essential.
- Solid background in civil construction projects, including buildings, residential, and mixed-use developments.
- Expertise in FIDIC contracts, with a comprehensive understanding of contract administration and claims management.
- Nationality: Any (preferred background in GCC countries)
