About the Role

Our client, a prominent civil contracting firm specializing in large-scale projects across the UAE, is seeking a seasoned Contracts Manager to oversee projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in civil construction, particularly in buildings and residential sectors, and possess a deep understanding of FIDIC contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects concurrently in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
  • Ensure compliance with FIDIC contract terms and conditions.
  • Lead and oversee the commercial team, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow projections.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable terms and agreements.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure commercial goals align with project objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12-17 years of progressive experience in commercial management within the construction or civil industry.
  • Previous experience working with a main civil contractor is essential.
  • Solid background in civil construction projects, including buildings, residential, and mixed-use developments.
  • Expertise in FIDIC contracts, with a comprehensive understanding of contract administration and claims management.
