Accountant | Luxury Safari Tours Company | Botswana Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Accountant to join a leading Luxury Safari Tours Company based in Botswana. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled accountant with hospitality or tourism experience to oversee financial operations across multiple lodges and the central office, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in a dynamic safari environment. Accountant Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Registration with the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) Minimum 3 years experience in hospitality or tourism accounting Strong knowledge of Botswana tax and labour laws Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks, Great Plains, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Willingness to travel periodically to remote lodge locations Accountant Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records for all lodges and the central office Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Reconcile bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany accounts Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and inventory records Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections Process monthly payroll in compliance with Botswana labour laws Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, and Company Tax returns Review and approve supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and documentation Monitor procurement budgets and maintain accurate lodge-level accounting Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during annual audits Manage cash flow, treasury, and lodge remittances Provide financial insights and reports to senior management and stakeholders Support strategic planning and lodge development initiatives Package: Salary: P10,000 P15,000 per month (Negotiable, DOE) Location: Botswana Opportunities for professional growth in a leading luxury safari company To Apply: Please send your updated CV, reference letters, qualifications, and a recent head & shoulders photo today Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who meet the listed requirements will be contacted.
