Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a relevant qualification such as a B.Sc. in Agriculture, Agricultural Diploma, Marketing Management, or equivalent
Possess basic agricultural exposure or understanding, gained through holiday work, hands-on farm experience, or familiarity with farming equipment and processes
Must have a valid driver’s license and demonstrate willingness to relocate and travel, including potential assignments in Zambia

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Assisting in daily farm operations, including crop monitoring, soil management, and equipment handling at assigned sites.
Participating in rotational placements across South African sites and potentially Zambia to gain exposure to diverse agricultural environments.
Supporting agricultural processes such as planting, harvesting, and pest control under the guidance of senior staff.
Engaging in training sessions and workshops to build knowledge of farming equipment, processes, and best practices.
Collaborating with teams in marketing and management, including collecting data for market analysis related to agricultural products.
Conducting site inspections and reporting on operational efficiencies, challenges, and improvements.
Travelling between sites as required, ensuring compliance with safety and relocation protocols.
Maintaining accurate records of activities, observations, and learnings during the program.
Contributing to team projects aimed at enhancing sustainability and productivity in agriculture.
Providing feedback on the program and operations to help refine future initiatives.
