About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Anti-Poaching Unit Manager to join our team at a prestigious luxury game reserve based in Namibia. As a live-in, senior operational role, you will be responsible for managing anti-poaching efforts in a high-risk conservation area. This is a challenging and meaningful opportunity for a dedicated conservation professional looking to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to prevent wildlife crime and protect the reserve’s ecosystem
  • Lead field teams and provide tactical support during anti-poaching operations
  • Develop and implement effective counter-poaching strategies, including intelligence gathering and surveillance techniques
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as law enforcement and conservation, to ensure seamless operations
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years senior experience in Counter Poaching Unit Management or equivalent military/security industry role in a high-risk conservation area
  • Sound knowledge of law enforcement/security legislation; experience with arrest and apprehension procedures, particularly in wildlife crime, is advantageous
  • Proven leadership experience with multi-disciplinary field teams in remote, high-pressure settings

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in wildlife conservation, natural resource management, security operations or a related field
  • Valid firearm certification and demonstrated firearm handling competence

Salary & Benefits

N$50,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Anti-Poaching Unit Manager to join our team at a prestigious luxury game reserve based in Namibia. This is a live-in, senior operational role that offers a salary of N$50,000 (negotiable depending on experience). As a key member of our conservation efforts, you will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary field teams and working closely with local authorities to prevent wildlife crime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Counter Poaching Unit operations in a high-risk conservation area
  • Lead field teams in remote, high-pressure settings
  • Develop and implement effective anti-poaching strategies
  • Collaborate with K9 units, aerial surveillance (drones), and intelligence operations to combat wildlife crime
  • Conduct regular patrols and monitoring of reserve boundaries
  • Maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years senior experience in Counter Poaching Unit Management or equivalent military/security industry role in a high-risk conservation area
