Assistant Camp Manager
Location: Northern Cape
Property Type: Luxury Private Game Reserve
Salary: Negotiable DOE | Live-in

Kendrick Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a luxury private game reserve in the Northern Cape for an experienced Assistant Camp Manager. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic hospitality professional to support the Camp Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and staff development in a luxury bush environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Camp Manager in daily lodge operations, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction
Coordinate guest check-ins, check-outs, and special requests efficiently
Support and supervise staff across all departments, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a positive working environment
Assist with planning and executing guest activities, including game drives and bush experiences
Monitor and maintain lodge facilities, gardens, and general upkeep
Support housekeeping and kitchen operations as required
Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Participate in staff training and development initiatives
Handle administrative duties including reporting and rostering
Step in for the Camp Manager when required

Requirements

Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a luxury safari lodge or private game reserve
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and in a remote bush environment
Knowledge of hospitality operations across multiple departments (front of house, housekeeping, and F&B)
Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays
Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining lodge standards
