About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at a wine estate in Stellenbosch/Brackenfell. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading high-performing teams, and driving business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Training and development of staff
- Overseeing food quality and menu development
- Maintaining restaurant revenue, profitability, and quality goals
- Ensuring efficient restaurant operation with high standards
- Prioritizing guest satisfaction and continuous improvement
- Empowering employees to deliver exceptional service
- Providing feedback to improve service performance
- Reviewing guest satisfaction results with employees
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Formal qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum of 4 years of luxury restaurant/hotel experience
- WSET/CWA certification (advantageous)
- Computer literate and analytically skilled
- Fluent in English
- Flexible with working hours and physically fit
- Excellent leadership, communication, and guest service skills
