About the Role
J D Specialized Recruitment is partnering with a luxury city-based lodge in Tanzania to recruit a guest-centric and dynamic Lodge Manager. This position is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the full operations of a luxury lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth day-to-day operations, and the highest standards of service across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage guest interactions, leading and developing staff.
- Maintain operational excellence, including managing guest interactions, leading and developing staff, coordinating activities, monitoring service delivery, and ensuring that all operational procedures align with the lodge’s standards.
- Ensure strong financial performance by managing budgets, CAPEX, and fixed asset registers.
- Play a central role in overseeing all departments to ensure consistent service standards.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or an equivalent qualification (essential for obtaining a work permit).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager within a luxury 5-star hotel or lodge.
- Strong background in both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage operations.
- Exceptional guest-centric approach with meticulous attention to detail and uncompromising service standards.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, CAPEX, and fixed asset registers.
- Proven leadership abilities with comprehensive knowledge of lodge operations and experience overseeing all departments.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and property management systems.
- A committed leader who enjoys training, motivating, and inspiring team members.
- Passionate about creating memorable guest experiences and consistently delivering service that exceeds company standards.
