Chief Engineer – Luxury Five Star Hotel, Papua New Guinea Our client operates one of the leading hotels in Papua New Guinea and they are now looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join their team. The Hotel has over 380 rooms spread across 18 floors, 7 F&B outlets and banqueting for up to 1,500 guests so candidates must be used to working in a high volume, luxury environment. Key Attributes / Skills · Candidates must lead by example and uphold and display the highest ethical and integrity standards at all times · Prior remote / hardship location experience is a pre-requisite · Candidates with a Marriott background are preferred · At least two years experience in a similar position in 300 room international four or five star Hotels / Resorts · International Engineering qualifications – electrical background a big plus · Proven leadership and coaching skills with a track record of managing multicultural teams effectively and sensitively – The Chief Engineer leads a team of 30 · Strong training focus and a good mentor · Excellent communication and organisational skills and fluency in English · Must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude Package · Salary up to US$7,000 net per month depending on experience · Accommodation on site including all meals, etc · Medical cover · Annual flight home · Will consider married candidates but only single status will be paid by the company Please do not apply if you do not possess the specified skills and experience stated above.
