About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Works Site Manager to join our team in managing township civil services and roads for a prominent client. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-quality projects, with a strong focus on safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations, including planning, coordination, and quality control
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure productivity control
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Conduct daily planning and short-interval control of labour, plant, and materials
- Enforce OHS requirements and maintain basic HSE files/records
- Manage programme and progress reporting, including weekly look-ahead and daily diaries
- Carry out basic measurement (quantities for claims/progress payments) and cost awareness
- Implement strong site safety culture and drive compliance with OSH Act requirements
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in civil township services + roads (concrete roads an advantage)
- Competent in reading civil drawings/specifications and running day-to-day site delivery
- Strong planning and people management skills
- Driver’s licence; willingness to work on site daily
- Must-have technical experience in roadworks, services installation, platforms for houses, and construction management
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification (Civil Engineering / Construction Management / foreman training) is beneficial; experience is usually the differentiator
