About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Works Site Manager to join our team at Farm Manager SA, responsible for managing township civil services and roads in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale roadworks and services installations, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site delivery, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Drive productivity and quality through effective planning, short-interval control, and subcontractor management.
  • Enforce a strong site safety culture, maintaining basic HSE files and records, and working closely with an HSE Officer (if applicable).
  • Conduct daily planning, progress reporting, and programme management to ensure project success.
  • Manage platforms for houses, including bulk earthworks, cut/fill, retaining interfaces, levels, tolerances, compaction, and drainage falls.
  • Oversee roadworks, including layerworks, compaction control, concrete road construction (or concrete paving), kerbs/channels, stormwater interfaces, and testing/commissioning basics.
  • Install and commission services, including sewer, water reticulation, sleeves/ducts, manholes/structures, bedding/backfill, and testing/commissioning basics.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in civil township services + roads (concrete roads an advantage).
  • Competent in reading civil drawings/specifications.
  • Strong planning and people management skills.
  • Driver’s licence.
  • Willingness to work on site daily.
  • Must-have technical experience in roadworks and services installation.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or foreman training (beneficial but not required).
