About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data BI Support Analyst to join our team in South Africa. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines from SQL databases, Excel/CSV files, and other data sources. They will also develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, and write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and KPI calculations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines from SQL databases, Excel/CSV files, and other data sources
- Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and KPI calculations
- Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reports
- Support AI-assisted insight generation, including trend analysis and anomaly detection
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
- Proven experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query)
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, data cleansing)
- Understanding of data governance and data privacy principles (POPIA)
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
