Requirements:

N6 qualification and/or Trade Test (or equivalent T4, BSc) from a recognized institution Valid Code 8 Drivers License 5 years of experience in DMS and Recovery or separation technology, with at least 3 years at senior management level As above, plus a Government Certificate of Competency and ECSA Professional Registration 8 years experience in DMS and Recovery or separation technology environment, with at least 5 years in senior management Oversee and implement Maintenance and Procurement Strategy, Business Plan & Objectives Compile and implement the Engineering Section budget Implement and manage maintenance planning system Ensure optimal plant availability Assist in the development and execution of production targets Oversee utilisation and availability of resources for plant maintenance Manage provider relations Statutory requirements Client and Counsellor Policies/Procedures Compile and submit all relevant engineering and operational reports to the Plant Manager Submit and motivate capital/strategic expenditure to the Plant Manager Apply and maintain engineering best practices and standards Apply auditing skills to ensure compliance and performance standards Understand and implement health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to mining and processing In-depth knowledge of diamond plants, Dense Media Separation (DMS), and Recovery Circuits Troubleshooting and technical problem-solving Maintain discipline in the work area (e.g. absenteeism, overtime, misconduct) Manage and improve workplace climate Lead and support a team of professionals and department heads Coach, develop, and transfer skills to personnel Conduct succession planning and ensure training and performance improvement Works well under pressure and demonstrates strong managerial and leadership skills Ensure ongoing compliance with Health & Safety, Security, and Environmental standards Basic proficiency in Computer & MS Office Maintain and demonstrate strong teamwork and coaching skills Understand and manage financial, technical, and legal responsibilities Good understanding of engineering and maintenance processes and principles Regularly audit plant performance and ensure corrective actions are implemented Consultant: Jessie Gomes – Dante Personnel Greenstone
