Matric coupled with a business / sales diploma (advantageous)
Fluent in English & Afrikaans
Fully computer literate
Own reliable vehicle / valid driver’s license
Ability to travel long distances (physically fit)
Proven track record in sales, especially in high-value products or solutions.
Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
Willingness to travel to meet clients or attend industry events.
Technical knowledge of Fluid Control products.
Ability to analyse sales data, meet targets, and manage inventory.
Leadership for training staff and ensuring service quality.
Customer service expertise and financial handling skills.
Event coordination and adaptability to management directives.
Job Duties:
Core Duties:
Service new and existing customers.
Conduct market research and surveys.
Complete call reports and collect cheques.
Perform follow-up calls and assist customers with technical advice.
Prepare sales and budget forecasts.
Open new accounts and achieve monthly sales targets.
Write reports and establish strong customer relationships.
Assist at the counter when necessary.
Reporting:
Weekly sales meetings and reporting on sales, GP, and new business development.
Daily updates to Branch Managers on urgent sales issues and GP reports.
Measurement:
Meet sales and GP budgets.
Ensure growth across Fluid Control products (e.g., irrigation, pumps, valves).
Open new accounts and revive dormant ones.
Expand product sales to existing customers.
Inventory Management:
Ensure appropriate stock levels and address dead/slow-moving inventory.
Negotiate prices and process purchase orders
Staff Management:
Train internal and external sales staff and assist with quotations/ and large orders.
Provide updated supplier lists and weekly specials.
Support staff in closing deals and maintaining service levels.
Sales Responsibilities:
Meet budgeted sales/GP targets and open new accounts.
Update customer details, assist with account queries, and process quotations/invoices.
Monitor slow-moving stock, follow up on leads, and handle customer complaints.
Update selling prices, discount matrices, and competitor comparisons.
Ensure accurate cash handling, credit notes, and EFT payments.
Other Duties:
Conduct training sessions and assist with customer open days.
Attend meetings and fulfill additional duties as required by management.
Salary:
R30 000 Basic salary commensurate to experience
