About the Role
We are partnering with an upmarket 4-Star beach resort in Zanzibar to recruit an accomplished Food and Beverage Manager to manage their multi-outlet food and beverage operation. The position requires a strong focus on training, mentoring, and developing staff to create a motivated, knowledgeable, and service-driven team, while also ensuring that all operational procedures are followed in line with established policies and international hospitality standards. In addition, the Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing departmental budgets, controlling costs, optimizing resources, and maintaining full compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a highly experienced, energetic, and service-driven professional who is passionate about delivering world-class guest experiences in a refined resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all Food & Beverage operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest international service standards
- Design and develop exceptional menus, oversee purchasing, and continuously implement improvements to enhance service delivery
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Food & Beverage trends and industry best practices
- Drive, maximize, and report on F&B revenue, productivity, and sales performance
- Professionally handle guest complaints, requests, and enquiries related to food, beverages, and service
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience within Food & Beverage departments
- At least 5 years in a senior F&B management role at a similar multi-outlet luxury property
- Sound knowledge of F&B service standards, cost and labour controls, beverage menu creation, merchandising, maintenance, and accounting systems
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality (essential for work permit purposes)
- Proficiency in Italian or German would be highly advantageous
