<p><strong>Private house</strong> on a working <strong>farm</strong> located between <strong>Graaff-Reinet & Aberdeen</strong> in the <strong>Eastern Cape</strong> is looking for a hospitality trained <strong>Farm Caretaker Couple</strong> to oversee <strong>Housekeeping & Landscaping</strong> on the property.</p><p>Duties will include the <strong>overall management</strong> of the homestead and <strong>maintenance</strong> of the <strong>gardens </strong>and will include<strong> </strong>both <strong>household</strong> and <strong>outdoor tasks.</strong></p><p>We are looking for a <strong>pro-active couple</strong> to act in the <strong>owners interest</strong> when theyre not in residence, we want two pairs of eyes and <strong>expert hands</strong> that are <strong>reliable, sober</strong> and will <strong>take care</strong> of an extraordinary property as if it was their own.</p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><p><strong>She:</strong></p><p>Act as housekeeper</p><p>Cleaning</p><p>Managing the house</p><p>Laundry</p><p>Cooking for the family</p><p>Regularly checking on the condition of the property and reporting any issues to the owners.</p><p><strong>He:</strong></p><p>Look after the landscaped gardens around the farmhouse</p><p>Tend to a small flock of poultry that free range</p><p>Assist his partner in the house (floors/ fires/ aga etc)</p><p>Ensuring the overall security of the property</p><p>Overseeing maintenance and repairs at the homestead</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>Grade 12</p><p>Formal hospitality qualification</p><p>At least 2 3 years experience in a lodge or guest farm environment</p><p>Experience in feeding and caring for farm animals</p><p>Able to ensure that the property is well-maintained, addressing any repairs, and landscaping</p><p>Working effectively as a couple is crucial for this role.</p><p>Willingness to tackle a variety of tasks, both big and small.</p><p>Reliability and trustworthiness is essential for managing and maintaining a property, especially when the owners are absent.</p><p>Adaptability to changing needs and unexpected situations.</p><p>Effectively communicating with owners, staff, and contractors.</p><p>Valid drivers license.</p><p> </p>
