About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team at Profile Personnel, a renowned convenience store based in Zwelitsha. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple business units, including forecourt and retail divisions, and driving growth through staff incentive programs and KPI implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervised junior managers across fuel, liquor, and food store departments.
- Oversaw staff performance, implemented KPIs, and developed staff incentive programs to drive growth.
- Reported weekly on the performance and progress of multiple business units.
- Ensured accurate stock management and inventory systems across all departments.
- Managed operational effectiveness and profitability across all sub-business units.
- Maintained control over supplier credit lines and ensured financial compliance within set limits.
- Reviewed and analyzed reports from each division to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Provided training and support on internal systems, including back-office retail and fuel management software.
- Set and monitored sales growth targets while managing overall staff productivity.
- Ensured alignment of product offerings and pricing strategies with customer needs and preferences.
- Enforced compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinated HSEQ training programs and maintained up-to-date legislative compliance records.
- Maintained control over stock, overheads, and cash handling, while enforcing disciplinary procedures to prevent loss and theft.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in a senior management role
- Proven track record of driving growth through staff incentive programs and KPI implementation
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications in Business, Management, or a related field.
