South Africa: Graduate Actuary / Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities: Build, refine and optimise actuarial and financial models for Life (and occasional Non-Life) insurance clients. Develop technical solutions using Python, R, SQL, and industry-standard modelling platforms. Support actuarial consulting projects across pricing, valuation, automation, and model enhancement work. Analyse data, design modelling structures, and translate insights into actionable client deliverables. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education (Minimum Requirement): Degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar quantitative fields. Strong academic performance required. Experience: Graduate to early-career candidates considered (02 years). Exposure to modelling, coding, or actuarial tools will be advantageous. Skills: Python and/or R (essential). SQL experience beneficial. Exposure to Prophet or other actuarial modelling software is an advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical modelling ability. Non-negotiables: Passion for modelling and technical problem solving. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
