About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Group Maintenance Manager to join our Luxury Hospitality Group based in Dar es Salaam and Arusha. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational functionality, safety, and aesthetic upkeep of multiple lodge properties, managing maintenance teams, budgets, and preventative programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventative and reactive maintenance schedules for all buildings, guest areas, staff accommodation, and grounds.
- Manage complex systems including solar power, generators, water treatment, sewage, refrigeration, and HVAC.
- Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance staff, contractors, and technicians.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including conducting regular safety inspections.
- Manage maintenance budgets, inventory of tools, and spare parts procurement.
- Collaborate with lodge managers to minimize guest disruptions and maintain high-quality guest experience.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- At least 8 years’ experience in facilities or maintenance management, preferably within luxury lodges, resorts, or hotels.
- Experience with Sustainability (Solar/Off grid), desalination/water treatment and CAPEX planning
- Strong proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
