We are currently recruiting for an HR Intern to join our dynamic team.
Scope of the position
To provide continuous assistance to the managers and employees of the company with respect to HR Policies and Procedures including employee relations, engagement, recruitment, benefits, legislation wellness, health and safety programs. Ensure that all employee files and other legislative aspects are beyond reproach.
Minimum Requirements
- Applicable tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Organisational / Industrial Phycology
- People Management
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the same or similar position
- Familiar with all Human Resources legislature and amendments
- Familiarity with Sectoral Determination 6 and 14 advantageous
Job description
Management
- Maintain positive relationships withthe managers and team members of the products and businesses within Village N Life
- Maintain company culture, vision, mission and values within all team members and management
Operations
- Provide administrative support to the HR department
- Maintain open-door policy with all employees to improve employee engagement and employee relations
- Participate in HR networks and community programs
- Maintain a positive image of the HR department through social media and WhatsApp communication
Human Resources
- Maintain the database for the Skills Development and Training information
- Assist with maintaining the training manuals of the company
- Run the induction program for all new hires of the Village N Life company
- Track probationary reviews with employees are done on time and correctly
- Track and capture the submission of the HR Status forms and assist managers with completion
- Follow all COIDA cases from submission to completion and keep records
- Assist management with EE, Skills Development and BBBEE statutory compliance
Administration
- Assist HR team with scheduling of meetings and venues
- Compile minutes
- Assist in development of Company policies and procedures
- Ensure fair and equitable discipline is applied
- Maintain staff files in conjunction with management
- Leave Planners
- Do regular audits of the VIP database and assist Payroll in maintaining
- Assist Payroll with the submission of the Pension Fund Withdrawal forms as required.
