About the Role
We are supporting a global energy technology leader in expanding its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team for a large-scale power generation plant. Were seeking a skilled Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Maintenance Engineer to join the onsite maintenance team responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for I&C equipment according to procedures, work plans, and statutory requirements
- Develop, update, and implement work orders and maintenance procedures based on OEM recommendations, functional notices (FNs), and internal best practices
- Apply the plant management system (e.g. SPPA-M3000) for reporting, troubleshooting, and material requests
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous technical improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across all maintenance activities
- Participate in inter-departmental support for operational and maintenance needs
- Maintain control of tools, calibration, and technical documentation
- Foster open communication, proactive problem-solving, and a culture of teamwork and accountability
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical/ Electronic/ Automation/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience as a service or maintenance engineer in an industrial environment, ideally within power generation (gas or combined cycle)
- Strong understanding of I&C systems, sensors, transmitters, DCS/PLC systems, and power plant safety protocols
- Experience with SPPA-M3000 or similar plant management / DCS systems
- Familiarity with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and power-plant safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (electrical, I&C, P&ID)
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; French or Portuguese advantageous
- Proven ability to adapt to new technologies, work within multicultural project teams, and deliver under demanding conditions
