Job Description

A manufacturing company requires a Millwright to support the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of plant utilities and equipment to ensure continuous production uptime and compliance with safety standards.

The role focuses on utilities equipment including boilers, refrigeration systems, compressors, generators, and water treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities: 
–    Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
–    Maintain and monitor utilities equipment including boilers, compressors, chillers, and water systems
–    Execute preventative maintenance schedules and planned servicing
–    Maintain records, logs, and compliance documentation
–    Support PLC/HMI troubleshooting and instrumentation calibration
–    Ensure compliance with OHS Act and safety regulations

Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile:
–    Education: Trade Test – Millwright or Instrumentation Mechanician
–    Experience: Minimum of 10 years in utilities/maintenance within manufacturing/FMCG
–    Skills: PLC (Siemens S7), hydraulics, pneumatics, instrumentation, fault finding
–    Knowledge: Utilities systems (boilers, refrigeration, compressors, water treatment)

Other: Immediately available, based in Johannesburg East would be ideal.
