Location:
Cape Town, Western Cape
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
- 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing, supply chain or industrial engineering environments
- Strong understanding of:
- Manufacturing processes (labour, machine utilisation, yields, scrap, rework, capacity)
- Supply chain operations and raw material flow
- Cost modelling and variance analysis (standard vs actual costing)
- ERP/MRP systems (BOMs, routings, inventory and costing structures)
- Advanced Excel skills (Power BI advantageous)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Commercially aware with strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Comfortable working across shop floor operations, suppliers and senior management
- Knowledge of GMP and Health & Safety standards within a manufacturing environment
- Passion for packaging innovation and sustainable manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse manufacturing processes to identify efficiency and cost optimisation opportunities
- Conduct time studies, work measurement and process mapping
- Develop and maintain end-to-end product cost models
- Support pricing strategies, tenders and commercial negotiations
- Analyse cost variances and provide actionable insights
- Drive ERP data accuracy, governance and system integrity (BOMs, routings, costing)
- Build and maintain cost, performance and operational dashboards
- Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Apply Lean and Industrial Engineering tools to improve efficiency and profitability
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, IT and Commercial teams
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP and Food Safety Management Systems
- Contribute to strategic decision-making through accurate operational and financial analysis
