South Africa: Junior Process Business Analyst with Atlassian JIRA – Contract – Hybrid – R300 p/h posted by E-Merge

Our prestige client is seeking a Junior Process Business Analyst with expertise in Atlassian Jira to join their team. The ideal candidate will gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into system requirements for the Jira configuration team. This role involves analysing and optimising business processes, identifying areas for improvement, obtaining signoff on business requirements specifications, overseeing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to implementation, and managing testing and production rollout. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Jira configuration team and business stakeholders to implement the necessary business changes to their Jira boards and environment. Proficiency in Jira is a crucial factor in the successful selection of the candidate.

Responsibilities:

1. Engage with business stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements.
2. Translate business requirements into system requirements for Jira configuration.
3. Analyse current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
4. Facilitate signoff on business requirements specifications.
5. Oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Jira configuration from requirements gathering to implementation.
6. Manage testing activities and ensure the quality of deliverables.
7. Coordinate with development teams to implement Jira solutions and integrations.
8. Provide training and support to end-users on Jira usage.
9. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness.
10. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Strong understanding of business processes and process improvement methodologies.
3. Proficiency in Atlassian Jira – it would be highly advantageous if the candidate is familiar with high-level configuration, customisation, and administration processes within Jira Software and Jira Service Desk.
4. Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
