Industry: Plastics Injection Molding Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Toolmaker with experience in plastics injection molding molds to join our team. This role is not limited to toolmaking; the successful candidate will also assist with machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support as required. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical skills , a problem-solving mindset , and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced production environment. Key

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing, repairing, insert change and maintaining of injection molding tools . Conducting modifications and adjustments to molds as required. Diagnosing and troubleshooting tooling and machine-related issues to minimize downtime. Performing preventive maintenance on molds and assisting with machine maintenance . Operating various toolroom equipment , such as lathes, grinders, and drilling machines (additional skills would be an advantage for an expanding toolroom). Assisting in machine setup and adjustments to optimize production efficiency. Working with the production team to resolve process-related challenges . Performing basic fitter work and mechanical repairs on machines when required. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Able to join maintenance team, specific focus on moulds Mould sizes that range from 400T to 1800T machines Keep accurate reports on moulds. Required Skills & Qualifications: Grade 12 or N3 2-3 years of hands-on experience with plastics injection molding tools . Strong understanding of mechanical systems and precision machining . Knowledge of injection molding machines, hydraulics, and pneumatics is an advantage. Willingness to work hard, learn, and adapt across different technical areas. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment . Preferred Attributes: Experience with Lathe and Milling machining would be beneficial. Knowledge of hot runner systems , mold cooling, and ejection systems. A hands-on, practical approach to technical challenges .
