About the Role

Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Lead Radiotherapist (Planning) to join our team. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality radiotherapy services that meet the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities

  • Rendering a quality radiotherapy service, which is effective and efficient
  • Deliver a high-quality radiotherapy service that complies with required quality assurance standards
  • Establish and maintain a quality assurance program, ensuring that prescribed standards are met at all times
  • Ensure that all equipment and machines related to the scope are maintained to the relevant standards
  • Management of day-to-day administration, e.g. maintaining files, record keeping, stock and asset control
  • Radiation planning, including stereotactic planning, VMAT, IMRT and 3D planning techniques
  • Treatment coding
  • Staff planning and control
  • Oncologist treatment liaison
  • Medical physicist liaison
  • Ensuring the total satisfaction of our clients through continuous improvement and added value
  • Safely and effectively operate treatment and planning equipment
  • Contribute and assume responsibility for the holistic care of patients according to the scope of practice
  • Execute all procedures according to the radiation policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate and detailed chart documentation and perform safety checks
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2008, including the hospital’s internal and external audits when necessary

Requirements

  • 3-year National Diploma in Radiotherapy/ B.Tech Radiotherapy/ B.Sc Radiotherapy
  • Registration with HPCSA in the field of Radiation Therapy
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in radiotherapy
  • A team player, results-oriented, hard-working, with good communication skills and customer-oriented
  • Effective leadership skills
