Job Description
Performs daily maintenance of the resorts electrical systems, equipment,
plumbing, and painting.
Ensure all service areas comply with safety requirements and Simbithi quality
standards.
Prioritises daily and weekly tasks according to operational needs.
Maintains the asset register and plans for the disposal and repair of assets.
Manages assets in line with service level guarantees and ensures the delivery of
maintenance service contracts. Addresses any issues of non-delivery promptly.
Prepares monthly payments to service providers and submit them to finance for
payment after quality inspections. Follows the Simbithi purchasing and accounting
standard operating procedures.
Plans and executes preventative maintenance and refurbishments within budget.
Conducts risk analysis and report findings to management.
Consults with shared services on maintenance matters beyond their expertise.
Implements contingency plans as approved by management.
Be on standby to attend to emergencies as required.
Troubleshoot faulty equipment (Refrigeration, HVAC, electrical components and
equipment).
Source and procure parts, tools, hardware and paint as required.
Relevant qualifications in maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience of five years in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably
within a country club or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with asset management and maintenance planning.
Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
