Job Description

Duties: Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare Estimates, Cost Plans, Bills of Quantities, Specifications and Schedule of Rates Must be able to do measurements on civil work (Digs, Trenching etc.) Preparing preliminary estimates for conceptual projects Assisting with tender documents Assist with determining key variables for cost and other estimates Assist with gathering first information from sites Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, and production times etc. Obtain and review quotes from subcontractors Create and submit tenders to Projects Managers, clients, etc Communication between different departments on current projects and requirements Conduct accurate cost analyses and estimations for the organization Requirements: Grade 12 Quantity Surveying or Construction / Building qualification Minimum 2 years experience Must be computer literate proficient in Excel Professional and detail oriented Ability to read drawings and plans Valid drivers license
