Job Description

Hospitality and Outdoor- New Vacancy- Management Couple Luxury Beach Lodge- Mozambique Hands-on Assistant General Manager couple to take full responsibility for preparing and launching a 12- villa luxury beach lodge to international boutique standards. They will act as the owners on-site project and operational lead, ensuring the property opens fully guest-ready, commercially sound, and service-distinctive. Requirements 3+ years proven luxury lodge, boutique resort, or high-end remote property leadership A relevant Hospitality qualification (does not need to be Uni Level)- Essential for permits. A couple/candidate that is highly respectful to cultures and works well with local staff members Strong allrounder/s, where both candidates have in depth knowledge of all lodge aspects (FOH, F&B, Maintenance, Finances, Operations, HR etc.) Demonstrated success in pre-opening, turnaround, or product repositioning roles Strong food & beverage credibility Comfortable managing both construction streams and operational build-out simultaneously Practical, visible, execution-driven leadership style Description Product Readiness Oversee execution of all approved CAPEX upgrades across villas, guest areas, F&B; and back-of-house Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and consultants to deliver works on time and to luxury quality Ensure the physical product matches the intended market positioning Operational Build-Out Establish the complete operating structure, staffing model, and departmental leadership Implement SOPs, systems, procurement channels, and compliance frameworks Deliver full operational readiness prior to Opening Experience & Service Positioning Design and embed a refined, personalised guest journey suited to an intimate villa lodge Build a strong service culture focused on warmth, professionalism, and detail Implement measurable service standards and guest feedback loops Culinary Upgrade Lead the repositioning of the food offering to a credible luxury boutique level Recruit or validate kitchen leadership and supplier base Ensure menus, dining concepts, and execution align with international guest expectations Team Recruitment & Training Recruit core management and operational staff Execute structured pre-opening training focused on guest engagement and delivery consistency Build a stable, accountable leadership team prior to launch Opening Execution Lead the lodge through final readiness testing, soft opening, and market launch Ensure financial controls, stock systems, and reporting structures are operational from day one Package on offer Salary Negotiable and based on experience- (US$ per month) Accommodation and meals 1 day off per week and 30 days annual leave per annum Starting Date: May 2026
