Job Summary
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Facilitate the learning processes and outcomes of the Department of Mechatronics. Perform academic engagement. Perform curriculum and course administration. Applicants will be required to register for and complete a PhD in Mechatronics in a maximum period of 3 years. CORE COMPETENCIES In-depth knowledge of the theory and application in the relevant disciplines related to Mechatronics. Ability to facilitate learning at the undergraduate level. Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment. Have the potential to contribute to the creation of knowledge by publishing research and involvement in relevant engagement activities. Proven ability to work as part of a team. REQUIREMENTS MEng /MSc in Engineering (Mechatronics) with BEng or BSc in Engineering (Mechatronics). The Masters must be achieved with a minimum average of 70%. Be registered for, or qualify to register for a PhD in Mechatronics. Lecturing and / or industry experience will be an added advantage. A research record of peer-reviewed publications will be a recommendation. Nelson Mandela University reserves the right not to make an appointment.
