About the Role
Our client in the Retail Industry is seeking a highly skilled Night Shift Supervisor to join their team at Fisherman’s Deli. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of the store
• Treat all staff and customers with respect and professionalism
• Verify freezer map accuracy against physical stock levels
• Maintain freezer and chiller doors in a closed position at all times
• Print open purchase orders report as required
• Manage pallet receiving schedules and ensure accurate inventory tracking
• Inspect and verify all incoming stock, including fresh fish and non-stock items such as oysters, mussels, clams, and exotic cheese
• Label non-stock items with customer name and salesperson’s order details
• Ensure all perishable products have a minimum of 3 weeks shelf life when received
• Adhere to airport collection procedures at all times
• Print GRN summaries and reconcile receipts against reports
• Sign off on GRN summaries as accurate
• Send email notifications to Operations Managers and Buyer regarding any unsupplied items with reasons and corrective actions
Requirements
SKILLS:
• Matric certificate and fluency in English and Afrikaans
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Night Shift Supervisor
• Residency within Randburg area or within a 25km radius
• Proficiency in computer applications and ability to work independently with initiative
• Punctuality and reliability
