About the Role

A luxury lodge in Kruger National Park is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic People (HR) Intern to provide support to the HR team while gaining practical exposure to the full employment life cycle. This role offers hands-on experience in recruitment, performance management, labour relations, compensation and benefits, employee wellness, and other HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile starter packs for new employees.
  • Input employee records into the HR Information System, including new starters and leavers.
  • Submit payroll-related documents in a timely manner.
  • Respond to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general HR matters.
  • Post job advertisements on job boards and social media platforms.
  • Screen resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates.
  • Organise interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Assist with personnel administration, employee records, and employment applications.
  • Support office management tasks, including sorting employee files and payroll data.
  • Book training courses for employees, manage administration, and ensure invoices are paid on time.
  • Assist in planning company events and BBBEE administration.
  • Provide general HR support across all areas as required.

Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric certificate required.
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management required.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • High level of ownership, respect, and confidentiality.
  • Results-driven, proactive, reliable, and punctual.
