About the Role

As a result of an awarded major EPCM project in Namibia, Employ Africa Group is seeking a detail-oriented Planner to join our on-site project team. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working in remote or international project locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules across all phases of construction.
  • Monitor progress against baseline schedules and provide regular updates to site and project teams.
  • Identify schedule risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with construction, engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to ensure alignment of planning activities.
  • Support contractor schedule reviews and ensure compliance with project timelines.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to the client and client stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of recovery plans and change impact assessments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project planning within EPCM or construction environments.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, resource loading, and critical path analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, LLB, Matric, certification in relevant field is not required
